Charles Russell has an experienced team of seven Partners and ten lawyers specialising in family work and are expert in cases involving an international element.

We deal regularly with jurisdiction issues on divorce; financial applications and issues relating to children both of married and unmarried parents. We advise clients on pre-nuptial agreements and cohabitation agreements. The Charles Russell team is experienced in dealing with complicated financial applications with international assets to include trusts. We are entirely familiar with issues relating to children of international families and the cross border difficulties that often arise.

We are on the Lord Chancellor's Department panel of solicitors for international child abduction work and regularly advise and represent clients in Hague Convention and non Hague Convention countries world-wide. Various members of the team have written books and articles on various family topics but in particular pensions, family breakdown and trusts, cohabitation and international child abduction.

We are members of two international non-exclusive associations, the Association of European Lawyers and ALFA International , as well as the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
