To offer private enforcement of competition law, lawyers
need to adopt an interdisciplinary approach combining expert
competition skills with expert litigation, mediation and arbitration
skills. The Competition team at Charles Russell LLP is uniquely
placed to offer these services. The team has particular experience
of advising parties damaged by anti-competitive actions seeking
to obtain redress in court and those engaging in mediation,
arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution. Members
of the team have acted on landmark cases on damages for breach
of the competiton rules such as Crehan v Inntrepreneur and
the ongoing case of Cityhook v OFT, in which we defended an
action brought by Cityhook against a number of telecoms companies
for an alleged boycott.
